Spring Vacation Care bookings open on Monday September 10th
YMCA Canberra offers vacation care during the school holidays at locations across the capital region. Participation in these programs is highly sought after, and all are approved services. Our Educators are an experienced and enthusiastic team who are focused on delivering an engaging and safe program for all children.
Our programming is wide-ranging, varied and includes exciting excursions and fun in-house activities. Our programming blends indoor and outdoor activities; we provide all necessary resources. Children need to wear suitable clothing and footwear for the daily activities, and are also asked to bring the following with them; a sun hat, water bottle, lunch and snacks.
Please note that due to limited food preparation facilities at our location we are unable to heat lunches.
Vacation Care services open Monday through Friday from 8 am - 6 pm during operating weeks, please note that our services do not operate on Public Holidays.
The cost per day is dependent on the scheduled daily activities; in-house days are $75 per child, while days that feature excursions are $85 per child. The daily cost includes all activities associated with the day and where transport is required it is provided by a charter bus. Enrolments We take enrolments online through a YMCA Vacation Care Booking Form. Families must also have a My Family Lounge account (MFL). If you have a current Before School Care / After School Care booking or have used our Services recently you may already have a My Family Lounge account. You do not need to register again.

Step 1 – Register
If you are new to our services and don’t have a My Family Lounge Account (MFL) – you will need to register here.
After registering you will receive a Complete Registration email. To complete the registration process, create and confirm a password, accept the Terms and Conditions when ready, then press Complete Registration.
Step 2 – Create your profile
Once you’ve registered, sign in and enter details for all mandatory fields including your name, relationship to the child and at least one phone number and address details.
Add your child’s details and choose one of the 3 options.
Step 3 – Make a Booking
Choose Vacation Care, Service Name, days and preferred start date. An email is automatically sent to us to inform that you have submitted a Vacation Care booking request. You will be able to see the status of your request on your MFL portal.
Once we have received both your YMCA Vacation Care Booking Form and your My Family Lounge enrolment confirmation, we will process your Vacation Care Booking.
