Our children are viewed as capable, confident and unique members of our community. We strive to create opportunities for children to express themselves and investigate connectedness through learning relationships, social interactions and play. We treat all children with respect and dignity. We believe children should be valued and seen as our future leaders who are full of potential, wonder and creativity. We respect the children's voices and include their thoughts, ideas, needs and capabilities in all decision making.
We view families as a child's first teacher; we strive to build partnerships as we work together and grow. We believe communication is vital to building a strong partnership. Families are respected and valued as they are diverse and provide a great range of knowledge around culture, care giving, learning and life. We aim to build partnerships with our local community and build a sense of belonging.
We are professionals who advocate for the importance of what we do. We strive to grow, learn and develop our knowledge and practice. We treat each other with respect and utilise strengths within our team. We strive to work together with a shared vision, and role model best practice. We aim to show our creativity and be innovative in our planning for the future we provide opportunities for all people to grow in body, mind and spirit.
We view the environment as an integral part of our teaching and believe that an aesthetically pleasing space contributes to a child's learning and growth. We maintain the understanding children learn through inquiry and investigation via play and create an environment to encourage this. We aim to create a nurturing environment that ignites imagination and wonder and promotes lifelong learning. In our service we have spaces that promote active and healthy life styles, this is shown through our unique gym space, natural outdoor area and across the centre. We aim to promote sustainability throughout our centre. We encourage care and empathy for the land, animals and all people.
